Māori Media Sector – Shift Options Consultation

Te Māngai Pāho welcomes today’s announcement by the Government on consultation for the future of the Māori media sector.

“Today’s announcement reiterates the importance of positioning the sector for the future,” says Larry Parr, Kaihautū of Te Māngai Pāho.

“As technology continues to improve and expand, so too do the ways we connect to our whānau, hapū and iwi across the globe. We support the Government’s call to reorient the sector in order to harness new technologies and better promote te reo Māori as a living language,” Mr Parr says.
